RUNNING FOR COVER

'Running for Cover' is a 5K run/fitness walk to raise funds and awareness for melanoma research and local education, screening and treatment programs. This family-friendly event offers many exciting ways to support the fight against melanoma.

• The Honickman Foundation Family Fun Area houses health information, free skin screenings, giveaways, inflatables for kids and team mascots such as the Philly Phanatic.
• The Susquehanna International Group sponsors the Registration and Awards Area where our emcee Bob Kelley of CBS3 makes the prize winning exciting.
• Teams are formed with family, friends or colleagues. For more information on creating a team please call 215-898-3930.
• The Comcast Spectacor Foundation sponsors our One Mile Walk for Families which covers the area between the Wachovia Center and the Wachovia Spectrum.
• Volunteers are also needed during the day of the race. Anyone interested should call 215-898-3930 to sign up.
• Next year's Running for Cover at the Wachovia Complex will take place on June 28, 2008.

"Melanoma has become the fastest growing form of cancer and more money needs to be raised for research", said Comcast-Spectacor chairman and co-chair for Running For Cover, Ed Snider.
