RUNNING FOR COVER

'Running for Cover' is a 5K run/fitness walk held in June to raise funds and awareness for melanoma research and local education, screening and treatment programs. This family-friendly event offers many exciting ways to support the fight against melanoma.

• The Honickman Foundation Family Fun Area houses health information, free skin screenings, giveaways, inflatables for kids and team mascots.
• The Susquehanna International Group sponsors the Registration and Awards Area where our emcee makes the prize winning exciting.
• Teams are formed with family, friends or colleagues. For more information on creating a team please call 215-898-3930.
• The Comcast Spectacor Foundation sponsors our One Mile Walk for Families which covers the area between the Wachovia Center and the Wachovia Spectrum.
• Volunteers are also needed during the day of the race. Anyone interested should call 215-898-3930 to sign up.

"Melanoma has become the fastest growing form of cancer and more money needs to be raised for research", said Comcast-Spectacor chairman and co-chair for Running For Cover, Ed Snider. "Comcast-Spectacor is happy to support this important initiative to not only raise awareness on melanoma but to raise additional funding to find a cure.
